STARK Group has opened a new national distribution centre in Greater Copenhagen to improve logistics and expand its product range. The facility aims to support the company’s strategy for a more efficient, digital, and scalable distribution platform across its European markets. The new location builds on the experience gained from STARK Group’s central warehouse in Eskilstuna, Sweden, which opened in 2024. There, centralisation and automation have strengthened logistics capabilities and enabled a broader product range, greater availability, and faster deliveries. The Danish centre uses these insights for its own design and operations.
Automation and Sustainability Features
The distribution centre is highly automated and includes AutoStore technology to support faster product flows. The building is pre-certified to DGNB Gold, a recognised standard for sustainable construction. Materials used in the build include glulam timber, recycled steel, and a sedum roof. This construction approach reflects the company’s broader commitment to environmental goals, including net zero climate targets for 2050 aligned with the Paris Agreement. STARK Group holds SBTi-approved and validated net zero climate targets for 2050, aligned with the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement.

Expanded Reach and Offerings
From its Greater Copenhagen location, the centre will provide access to up to 50,000 products and improve availability across the Danish branch network. The facility can offer next-day delivery across Denmark and reach 35% of Danish customers within one hour. This capacity increase allows the company to offer a broader range of light building materials. This segment represents a strategic area where the Group historically held a smaller market share and now sees significant potential for growth.
