JYSK will open a new store in Hull, United Kingdom, on October 22, marking another step in the chain’s steady growth across the British market. The outlet will sit at Unit 4 Kingston Retail Park, bringing the brand’s recognizable Scandinavian design and value-focused homeware to shoppers in the city and surrounding areas.

The venue will span roughly 1,050 square metres, providing ample room for a broad assortment of items. Shoppers can browse outdoor living pieces, a variety of furniture, decorative accessories, soft furnishings, lighting fixtures, and a full line of sleep-related products, all arranged to highlight the brand’s clean aesthetic.

New Store Concept

The Hull location will debut JYSK’s latest store concept, which aims to create a spacious and inviting atmosphere where visitors can discover everything they need for their home.

Because items such as furniture, mattresses and soft furnishings are best evaluated in person, the Hull outlet’s spacious layout lets shoppers physically test comfort, scale and fabric, often leading them to spot matching pieces or accessories they hadn’t originally intended to buy.

Grand Opening Celebrations

To mark the launch, the retailer is providing a range of complimentary items and special price reductions, with discounts of up to 80 percent on hundreds of goods throughout the first week. Early visitors will also be among the first to handle the new autumn-winter collection, featuring cosy textiles and seasonal essentials.

Community Engagement

A partnership with the nearby coffee shop Daily Grind adds a local touch to the festivities. From 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the café will run a pop-up stand outside the store, offering complimentary autumn-flavoured drinks and sweet treats on a first-come, first-served basis.

Daily Grind’s pop-up will feature its seasonal menu, including pumpkin-spiced lattes, maple lattes and a selection of cookies and flapjacks, giving visitors a warm, local flavour while they explore the new store.

“We’re delighted to be opening our new store in Hull and bringing our affordable and Scandinavian home living to the local community,” said Ciaron Hearns, Brand & Marketing Manager for the UK & Ireland division of JYSK. “We want our stores to be places where customers can find inspiration for every room in the home, from furniture and accessories to sleep and outdoor living.”

Expansion Plans

The Hull opening forms part of JYSK’s continued investment in its UK store portfolio, bringing its Scandinavian-inspired homeware and improved retail experience to even more customers across the country. The latest opening adds to JYSK’s growing UK presence, with further investment and expansion planned across the retailer’s store network in the coming months.

The opening also shows JYSK’s push into spending traditionally captured by DIY chains, garden centres and independent furniture retailers, positioning the brand as a value-led alternative for a broad range of home-improvement purchases.

The JYSK Hull store will open at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday 22nd October at Unit 4 Kingston Retail Park, Kingston Street, HU1 2TX.
